An ongoing project documenting the scribbles on students’ desks at Greek public schools where I have been working as an arts teacher. It is an intricate, semi-intelligible cartography of neonazi slogans, kitsch popular love songs, cult football fan groups, tips for upcoming exam subjects, humorous remarks, and all kinds of bizarre codified messages, reflecting cultural patterns, the Greek crisis, reverberations of mass media rhetoric etc.
