On the fabrication of nostalgia for “ideal” national and colonialist landscapes and the working through of childhood memories. Working with elements from Duhrer’s sketches of landscapes, Bizet’s romanticism (The Pearl Fishers opera) and images from the documentary series The Mountains of Greece (1983-1986) by the Greek public TV network, that left their mark regarding the “national landscape imagery” of my generation.
